Deep Water Dock Fender Replacement Project
City of Homer, Alaska

Sealed bids for the construction of Deep Water Dock Fender Replacement Project will be received at the office of the City Clerk, City Hall, City of Homer, 491 East Pioneer Avenue, Homer, Alaska, until 2:00 pm, Friday, June 22, 2012, at which time they will be publicly opened and read. The time of receipt will be determined by the City Clerk’s time stamp. Bids received after the time fixed for the receipt of the bids shall not be considered. Bidders are required to be on the City’s plan holder’s list for their bid to be considered. To get on the list and to access bid documents contact: City Clerk, 491 E. Pioneer Avenue, Homer, Alaska 99603, (907) 235-3130. Bid documents will be available on May 29, 2012

The project is funded in part through the DCCED Designated Legislative Grant Program. The work includes, but is not limited to, the following:

Remove ten existing fender units; remove existing fender piling and furnish/install new piling for six fender units, furnish/install six new fender units; refurbish three existing fender units and reinstall on existing piling; and salvage one fender and all removed piling to the City

A pre-bid conference will be held on Monday, June 4, 2012 from 10:00 am -12:00 pm at the Deep Water Dock in Homer, Alaska to answer bidder’s questions and determine the need for any additional bidding information.
Plans and specifications may be downloaded at no charge or hard copies can be obtained at the office of the City Clerk upon payment of $195 per set ($230 for overnight delivery). City of Homer Standard Construction Specifications 2011 Edition (containing general contract provisions) may be downloaded from the City’s web site. All fees are non-refundable. The City of Homer reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to waive irregularities or informalities in the bids, and to award the contract to the lowest responsive bidder.
