Friends of the Library
The Friends of the Homer Public Library’s (FHL's) mission is to provide volunteer support for library programs and services, to raise funds that enrich the library experience and to promote the use and enjoyment of the library.
The Board plans and supports programs, events, and fundraisers including:
- Book & Plant Sales
- Summer Reading Programs
- Computer Classes
- Author Readings
- Writers' Workshops
- Book Discussion Groups
- Scrabble Tournaments
- BizIDEA Contests
- Celebration of Lifelong Learning Fundraisers
- Spelling Bees
And much more!
FHL board meetings are held on every second Wednesday starting at 6:00 pm in the library's meeting room. There is currently a vacancy on the board, so please drop in on a meeting if you're interested in joining the board, working on a committee, or volunteering for a specific program, event, or fundraiser.
