Free, ongoing sessions about amateur radio
From February through May, on the first and third Saturday of the month, the library will offer classes for people to learn more about amateur radio operation.
Amateur radio (also called ham radio) is the use of designated radio frequency spectra for purposes of private recreation, non-commercial exchange of messages, wireless experimentation, self-training, and emergency communication.
Class participants will be eligible to be tested for their amateur radio license after the sessions end in May.
