Free, ongoing sessions about amateur radio
The library holds ongoing classes for people to learn about amateur radio operation. The classes are held twice a month, on the first Tuesday (6:00 pm) and the second Saturday (12:00 pm).
Amateur radio (also called ham radio) is the use of designated radio frequency spectra for purposes of private recreation, non-commercial exchange of messages, wireless experimentation, self-training, and emergency communication.
Class participants will be eligible to be tested for their FREE amateur radio license.
