As part of the 2011 Summer@HPL program, the Homer Public Library & the Friends of the Homer Library are sponsoring the first annual “Brick By Brick” Contest.
Who: The age groups include: 0-5 years, 6-11 years and 12-18 years. Individuals and teams of two may enter. Only one entry per participant is allowed. For team entries, the team creation will be included in the age category of the older team member.
What: Use your imagination (no kits) to create a scene, person, thing, creature, etc. out of your own LEGO®s that can be displayed at the library. Name(s), age(s), & phone number(s) of the creator(s), and a paragraph telling the story about the LEGO® creation must accompany the entry to qualify.
When: Entries are due Monday June 27th, 2011 by 5pm and will be displayed at the library until Saturday, July 2nd, 2011. Awards will be given to the best entries by an individual and team in each of the age groups. An award will also be given to “best in show” which will be judged by the public while the entries are on display. Awards will be announced on Saturday, July 2nd at 5pm.
