Summer@HPL Recommended Reads.

READ    Summer@HPL offers prizes to reward the amazing reading efforts of participants and fun activities that inspire reading and compliment the library’s great collection of reads! Whether its paper books, e-books, magazines, picture books, graphic novels, or audiobooks, it all counts towards the reading goals. The kid, teen, and adult programs each offers a reading challenge with prizes awarded.

PLAY   A diverse schedule of programs and activities throughout the summer offer chances to play at the library and around Homer. Events include music, storytelling, a puppet show, digital tricks, art, outdoor fun, contests, and a night in the library.

CREATE   Summer@HPL is all about creating. Many of the programs, particularly Maker Mondays, feature opportunities for participants to experiment with a variety of art forms, technology, stories, and even LEGO® blocks. There's something for everyone.

DISCOVER   The summer program is a great opportunity to try something new! Whether it’s using a new technology tool or trying a new art form, the wide variety of activities will let attendees “test the waters.”

All events and the reading challenge are free.
