SUBJECT: SELECTION/APPOINTMENT OF COUNCILMEMBER TO FILL VACANCY
A vacancy exists on the City Council with the October 2nd election of Beth Wythe as Mayor. The following persons have applied for the vacant Council seat:
James Dolma
Sharon Minsch
Nominations are made on the floor and voting can be done by voice vote or secret ballot.
The person appointed will be sworn in immediately and will serve until the next regular election.
A simple majority, not a quorum, vote of the remaining Councilmembers is required to select and appoint persons to fill Council vacancies.
RECOMMENDATION:
Select one person to fill the vacant Council seat.
