Homer Spit Trail Boardwalk Revitalization Project

On June 6 bids were opened for the Homer Spit Trail Boardwalk Revitalization Project.  This work was advertised in the Homer Tribune and the Peninsula Clarion during the month of May.

This project consists of the removal and reconstruction of the existing boardwalk located on the west side of the Homer Small Boat Harbor.  This project will be funded by the cruise ship head tax grant, through the TORA agreement between the City of Homer and the State of Alaska.

Seven responsive bids were received:

Recommendation:

City Council pass a resolution awarding the construction contract for the Homer Spit Trail Boardwalk Revitalization Project in the amount of $171,850 to Puffin Electric, Inc. of Homer, Alaska and authorizing the City Manager to execute all appropriate documents necessary to complete this project.
