SUBJECT:         HOMER PUBLIC LIBRARY COLLECTION DEVELOPMENT POLICY

               The Library Advisory Board reviewed the Collection Development Policy at the February 3, 2015           regular meeting and the March 3, 2015 regular meeting. After a brief discussion the Board members           approved the policy as presented.

               Following is the excerpt from the minutes of the March 3, 2015 meeting:

               Vice Chair Utley brought the Collection Development to the floor for discussion by inquiring if there          were any comments or items in the policy that the Board members wanted to discuss.

               A brief round of discussion by the board on how well prepared and written, the length of the policy,    citations noted ensued.

               STROBEL/SMITH  - MOVED TO APPROVE THE COLLECTION DEVELOPMENT POLICY AS PRESENTED.

               There was a brief discussion on wording but no changes were recommended.

               VOTE. YES. BRAUND, ALDERFER, UTLEY, SMITH, STROBEL

               Motion carried.

            Recommendation:

               No Action Required. Informational in Nature.
