Ordinance 15-06 Budget Amendment for City's Matching Grant Requirement for Deep Water Dock Expansion Feasibility Study

ORDINANCE 15-06

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF HOMER, ALASKA, AMENDING THE FY 2015 OPERATING BUDGET BY APPROPRIATING $179,892.97 from the Harbor Reserve Fund to Satisfy the City’s Matching Grant Requirement Associated with the Completion of the Deep Water Dock Expansion Feasibility Study.

               WHEREAS, The Transfer of Responsibilities Agreement (TORA) between the City and the State of Alaska provides funding for the completion of a Deep Water Dock Expansion Feasibility Study; and

               WHEREAS, The Agreement stipulates that the City’s matching requirement is $179,892.97 (9.03%); and

               WHEREAS, The Agreement stipulates that “The City’s matching fund contribution shall be one lump sum payment to ADOT/PF within 30 days of a signed PDA…”; and

               WHEREAS, The City is ready to proceed with the preparation of the study utilizing funding provided by the Agreement.

               NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF HOMER ORDAINS:

               Section 1. The Homer City Council hereby amends the FY 2015 Operating Budget by appropriating $179,892.97 from the Port and Harbor Reserves as a local match to the Deep Water Dock Expansion Feasibility Study as follows:
