ORDINANCE 15-25

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF HOMER, ALASKA, RE-APPROPRIATING THE 2003 ALLOCATION FROM THE ALASKA DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AS FISHERIES REVITALIZATION AID IN THE AMOUNT OF $80,914.12 FOR THE PURPOSE OF REFURBISHING A FISH DOCK CRANE.

WHEREAS, In 2003 the City received Fisheries Revitalization Aid funds in the amount of $80,914.12 from the Alaska Department of Community and Economic Development (Ordinance 03-52); and

WHEREAS, The Port and Harbor Advisory Commission directed staff to use the monies for restrooms near the Fish Dock; and

WHEREAS, Since that time private businesses in the area have provided their employees with restroom facilities, eliminating the necessity of the City providing restrooms within the area; and

WHEREAS, Staff and the Port and Harbor Advisory Commission have determined the funds would be better used if re-allocated to the Fish Dock crane refurbishment project.

NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF HOMER ORDAINS:

Section 1. The Homer City Council hereby re-appropriates the allocation from the 2003 Alaska Department of Community and Economic Development Fisheries Revitalization Aid for the purpose of refurbishing a Fish Dock crane.
