Mayor Hornaday exercised his veto power and vetoed Ordinance 12-36(A) passed by Homer City Council Monday August 27th banning the use of disposable shopping bags. He stated that he believes the issue needs to come back to Council for more work. Council postponed any action on the Mayor's veto till their September 24th meeting when all members are expected to be present.
