The Homer Volunteer Fire Department was honored at Monday night’s council meeting for 60 years of dedicated service to the community. Read the Major’s proclamation here. An open house commemorating the 60-year anniversary will be held at the City of Homer Fire Department this October 13th from 11am-2pm. The public is invited to enjoy a hot dog, get a guided tour of the building and equipment and meet with members.
