Event Title: STEAM-y Storytime
Location: Homer Public Library Children's Library
Wednesdays, May 29 to July 31, 10:00-11:00am
Stories, songs, and crafts for kids and parents!
Storytime is a fun time for preschoolers and caregivers to hear stories, sing together, and create theme-related crafts. Traditionally the focus has been on early literacy, preparing kids to read and inspiring the lifelong learner in each of them.
This summer, we’ll be adding a new twist! Inspired by the National Initiative STEM, we’ll be incorporating Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math into the mix.
Each storytime will focus on a particular theme, include great stories, songs, and rhymes, and feature engaging activities, crafts, and experiments that introduce STEAM concepts and kids will love. These storytimes are recommended for kids 3+.
STEAM-y Storytimes will be held on Wednesdays May 29-July 31, from 10:00-11:00am at the Homer Public Library. All are free!
