Digital Storytime and Hands-On Q&A Session
Claudia Haines and Ann Dixon will lead a digital storytime for kids 7 and under and their parents (siblings welcome). The storytime will be followed by a Q&A session, with opportunities for hands-on experience with the featured apps.
Parents will be able to:
- See kids' apps in action
- Get answers to questions about kids and digital media
- Get tips on how to choose apps for kids
The focus will be on apps for the iPad, but some of the apps are also available through Google Play.
What's an app? Short for application, an app typically refers to software used on a mobile device (smartphone or tablet) that performs a specific function. An app allows you to do almost any task - whether it's to play a game, check the weather, edit photos, or translate a language.
This class is free and open to the public. If you have any questions, give us a call at 907-235-3180.
