Event Title: SPARC radio club meeting
Location: Homer Public Library Meeting Room
Tuesday, Jan 6, 6:30 pm
All are welcome to club meetings!
The South Peninsula Amateur Radio Club (SPARC) meets on the first Tuesday of the month at 6:30 pm in the library's Meeting Room.
These are not classes, but anyone interested in ham radio is welcome to attend.
Amateur radio (also called ham radio) is the use of designated radio frequency spectra for purposes of private recreation, non-commercial exchange of messages, wireless experimentation, self-training, and emergency communication.
Classes to learn about ham radio are scheduled twice each month, on the first Tuesday (at 5:00 pm immediately preceding the SPARC meeting) and on the second Saturday (at 12:00 pm). Participants in these classes are eligible to be tested for their FREE amateur radio license.
