A library card is your key to all of the wonderful resources the library has to offer. With a Homer Public Library card, you'll have access to:
- over 45,000 books, books on tape or CD, and DVDs
- 90 minutes of free computer use per day
- our 24-hour downloadable digital audiobook and music collection
- our electronic databases containing information about business, health, homework, auto repair, and much more
You must visit the library and apply for a library card in person. Please be sure to bring a picture ID and proof of local residence. The most commonly provided proof of residence is a piece of cancelled mail with the applicant's name and local address. A list of other acceptable items of ID and proof of local residence is available on our Library Card Registration Policy (see below). General Delivery is not an acceptable address for a permanent card.
A parent or guardian must apply for a juvenile (person under 18 years of age) card in person.
Not a full-time resident? Don't have a permanent mailing address? Just visiting? Please drop by the front desk and ask a librarian about library card options.
