Resolution 12-012 Amending Port and Harbor Advisory Commission Bylaws for Meeting Time

RESOLUTION 12-012

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF HOMER, ALASKA, AMENDING THE PORT AND HARBOR ADVISORY COMMISSION BYLAWS REGULAR MEETING TIME TO BE 5:00 P.M. IN THE MONTHS OF SEPTEMBER THROUGH APRIL AND 6:00 P.M. IN THE MONTHS OF MAY, JUNE, JULY, AND AUGUST.

WHEREAS, Pursuant to the Port and Harbor Advisory Commission bylaws, this amendment was noticed at the Commission’s regular meeting on December 14, 2011 and action was taken at the regular meeting on January 25, 2012 to amend their bylaws as follows:

A. REGULAR MEETINGS:
• Fourth Wednesday of each month at 5:00 p.m. (Resolution 98-23, 05-110, 10-08); with the exception of the November and December meetings to be held on the Third Wednesday of the month. Meetings will begin at 5:00 p.m. in the months of January, February, March, April, September, October, November, and December; and at 6:00 p.m. May, June, July, and August.
• Agenda deadline is the Wednesday of the week preceding the meeting date at 5:00 p.m.;
• Adding items or removing items from the agenda will be by majority consensus of the Commission;
• Public notice of a regular meeting shall be made as provided in HCC Chapter 1.14.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Homer, Alaska, hereby amends the Port and Harbor Advisory Commission bylaws regular meeting time to be 5:00 p.m. in the months of September through April and 6:00 p.m. in the months of May, June, July, and August.

PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Homer City Council this 13th day of February, 2012.
