RESOLUTION 13-058
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF HOMER, ALASKA, APPROVING AND ACCEPTING THE RENEWAL OF THE SPECIAL SERVICES CONTRACT FOR FY 2014 WITH THE ALASKA DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY IN THE AMOUNT OF $36,000.00 AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE APPROPRIATE DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, The Alaska Department of Public Safety, State Troopers Special Services Contract pays the City for the provision of services related to assistance in the efficient conduct of the Alaska Department of Public Safety business within the general geographic region of the City of Homer; and
WHEREAS, Services provided include pre-arraignment prisoner care and access to and utilization of professional facilities and equipment instrumental to the overall efficient and effective operation of law enforcement and emergency response component; and
WHEREAS, The Special Services Contract is an annually budgeted revenue in the amount of $36,000.00 to be paid in four payments of $9,000.00; and
WHEREAS, The Alaska Department of Public Safety has requested renewal of the contract for a one year period from July 1, 2013 through June 30, 2014.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Homer, Alaska, hereby approves and accepts the renewal of the Special Services Contract for the FY 2014 with the Alaska Department of Public Safety in the amount of $36,000.00 and authorizes the City Manager to execute the appropriate documents.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Homer City Council this 10th day of June, 2013.
