RESOLUTION 14-047
A RESOLUTION OF THE HOMER CITY COUNCIL AWARDING THE CONTRACT FOR TWO FORD F-150 PICKUP TRUCKS FOR PUBLIC WORKS TO THE FIRM OF KENDALL FORD OF WASILLA, ALASKA, IN THE AMOUNT OF $51,466.00 AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE APPROPRIATE DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, Funds were appropriated in the 2014 budget to purchase two new pickup trucks for the Public Works Department; and
WHEREAS, Ford F-150 work trucks are working well for the Public Works Department; and
WHEREAS, The State Equipment Fleet through the State of Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (ADOT&PF) offers the best pricing; and
WHEREAS, Kendall Ford Wasilla offers the 2014 Ford F-150 trucks for the State contract price of $51,466.00 ($25,733 each); and
WHEREAS, Public Works budgeted $54,000 in FY 2014 budget for the purchase of two work trucks; and
WHEREAS, The remaining funds will be used for vehicle equipment, including snow tires, mobile radios, fire extinguishers, etc.; and
WHEREAS, This award is not final until written notification is received by the firm from the City of Homer.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Homer, Alaska, approves the contract for the purchase of two Ford F-150 Pickup Trucks to the firm of Kendall Ford Wasilla of Wasilla, Alaska, in the amount of $51,466.00 and authorizes the City Manager to execute the appropriate documents.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Homer City Council this 14th day of April, 2014.
