RESOLUTION 14-057
A RESOLUTION OF THE HOMER CITY COUNCIL AWARDING THE CONTRACT FOR THE KAREN HORNADAY PARK PICNIC SHELTER ACCESS/FOUNDATION IMPROVEMENTS TO THE FIRM OF GREGOIRE CONSTRUCTION OF HOMER, ALASKA, IN THE AMOUNT OF $14,800.00 AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE APPROPRIATE DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, Funds were appropriated in the 2014 budget to provide shelter access and foundation improvements to the Karen Hornaday Park picnic shelter; and
WHEREAS, Quotes were solicited from twelve area contractors by email or fax; and
WHEREAS, Seven responsive quotes were received from qualified firms and the quotes were reviewed by staff; and
WHEREAS, Staff determined the firm of Gregoire Construction was the low responsive bidder and found to be qualified to complete the work; and
WHEREAS, This award is not final until written notification is received by the firm from the City of Homer.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Homer, Alaska, approves the contract for the Karen Hornaday Park Picnic Shelter access/foundation improvements to the firm of Gregoire Construction of Homer, Alaska, in the amount of $14,800.00 and authorizes the City Manager to execute the appropriate documents.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Homer City Council this 27th day of May, 2014.
