Resolution 15-008 Contract Award to Worthington Ford for Purchase of a 2015 Ford F-550 Truck for Public Works

RESOLUTION 15-008

A RESOLUTION OF THE HOMER CITY COUNCIL AWARDING THE CONTRACT FOR THE PURCHASE OF A 2015 FORD F-550 TRUCK FOR PUBLIC WORKS TO THE FIRM OF WORTHINGTON FORD OF ANCHORAGE, ALASKA, IN THE AMOUNT OF $36,367 AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE APPROPRIATE DOCUMENTS.

               WHEREAS, In accordance with the Procurement Policy, quotes were solicited from the three Ford dealers in Alaska; and

WHEREAS, Quotes were due on January 8, 2015 and three were received (see Memorandum # 15-010); and

WHEREAS, Quotes were compared and the firm of Worthington Ford was determined to be the low responsive bidder and was found to be qualified to supply the vehicle; and

WHEREAS, This award is not final until written notification is received by Worthington Ford of Anchorage, Alaska, from the City of Homer.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Homer, Alaska, approves the contract award for the purchase of a 2015 Ford F-550 truck for Public Works to the firm of Worthington Ford of Anchorage, Alaska, in the amount of $36,367 and authorizes the City Manager to execute the appropriate documents.

               PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Homer City Council this 26th day of January, 2015.
