Resolution 16-003 Acknowledging the December 2015 Surplus Equipment Bid Results

RESOLUTION 16-003

A RESOLUTION OF THE HOMER CITY COUNCIL ACKNOWLEDGING THE NOVEMBER 2015 SURPLUS EQUIPMENT BID RESULTS.

WHEREAS, A Surplus Personal Property Sale was conducted in accordance with Homer City Code 18.30; and

WHEREAS, The November 2015 Surplus Equipment Sale Invitation to Bid was advertised  in the Homer Tribune on November 25 and December 3, 2015 and posted on the City of Homer website; and

WHEREAS, Sealed bids were due by 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 10, 2015; and

WHEREAS, There were 64 items on the surplus equipment list; and

WHEREAS, 22 bidders submitted a total of 79 bids on 30 of the items available for sale; and

WHEREAS, The City Manager shall reevaluate the value of the items not bid upon and if found to meet the criteria of Homer City Code 18.30.040, the City Manager may authorize the disposal of items through non-competitive bidding.

               NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED the the City Council of Homer, Alaska, hereby acknowledges the surplus equipment bid results, attached as Exhibit A.

               PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Homer City Council this 11th day of January, 2016.
