SUBJ: APPOINTMENT OF BARBARA HOWARD TO THE PARKS AND RECREATION ADVISORY COMMISSION TO FILL THE VACANCY AND APPOINTMENT OF MARY CALHOUN TO THE TRANSPORTATION ADVISORY COMMITTEE AS THE PUBLIC MEMBER.

I am appointing Barbara Howard to the Parks and Recreation Commission to fill the vacancy created by Tim Daugharty's resignation. She is the only person that filed a Commissioner Data Sheet and this vacancy has been advertised for a couple of months. Her term will expire October 31, 2008, at which time she may request reappointment. She is a City resident.

I am appointing Mary Calhoun to the Transportation Advisory Committee. She will fill the public seat and is a non City resident.

RECOMMENDATION:

Confirm the Appointments of Barbara Howard to the Parks and Recreation Commission and Mary Calhoun to the Transportation Advisory Committee.
