City Council Candidate Filing Open August 1-16
Homer citizens interested in running for Homer City Council in the October 5, 2021 Regular Election must officially declare their candidacy with the Homer City Clerk’s Office.
Candidate filing opens August 1, 2021 and closes August 16, 2021 at 4:30 p.m. for three City Council member seats. Two seats are for 3-year terms and one seat is for 1-year term.
To qualify, candidates must be:
- A US Citizen
- At least 18 years of age
- A registered voter of the City of Homer at least 30 days before the election
- And have been a resident, fixed habitation, of the City of Homer for at least one year prior to Election Day (October 5, 2021)
Candidate filing forms are available online or at the City Clerk’s Office Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
