SUBJ: APPOINTMENT OF MICHAEL HAWFIELD TO THE LIBRARY ADVISORY BOARD

Michael Armstrong resigned his position as Boardmember on the Library Advisory Board on June 18, 2003 due his duties and responsibilities at the Homer News. He held the non resident seat.

Michael Hawfield applied for the non resident seat. He previously served the City of Homer on the Homer Advisory Economic Development Commission (EDC). I am appointing him to fill the term vacated by Michael Armstrong that will expire on April 1, 2004, at which time he may request reappointment.

RECOMMENDATION:

Confirm the appointment of Michael Hawfield for a term to expire April 1, 2004.
