SUBJECT: Council Decisions And Findings For An Ordinance Amending The Homer Zoning Ordinance To Limit The Size And Dimensions Of Buildings Used Primarily For Retail Or Wholesale Business In The Central Business District, General Commercial 1, General Commercial 2, Marine Commercial, And Marine Industrial Districts And Adding To HCC 21.32 Definitions - Retail Sales And Wholesale Establishment.

At the July 2, 2003 Homer Advisory Planning Commission meeting the Commission discussed and requested the Council should they not adopt the Commission’s Decisions and Findings that they explain to the Commission how they (Commission) was deficient in their findings. They further requested the Council to provide Findings of Fact to support the Council’s decision.

“In the hope of improving communication about process, understanding, community vision and the comprehensive plan, . . . it would be beneficial for the Council and Planning Commission to be as close in step with each other as possible.”
