SUBJ: TRAVEL AUTHORIZATION FOR COUNCILMEMBER FENSKE TO ATTEND THE UA BOARD OF REGENTS MEETING IN PALMER, SEPTEMBER 17 AND 18, 2003.

The City of Homer Procurement Policy and Procedures Manual, page 50, sets for the procedure for Travel Authorization for Mayor, Council and Staff. Travel authorization is required for trips exceeding $250 total estimated cost. This authorization request is for Councilmember Fenske to attend the UA Board of Regents Meeting in Palmer on September 17 and 18, 2003.

Travel is $0.36 per mile for POV and Per diem is $53.00 per day, three meals each.

RECOMMENDATION:

Authorize Councilmember Fenske to travel to Palmer to attend the UA Board of Regents meeting to be held September 17 and 18, 2003.

Fiscal Note: Mayor and Council: 2003 Budget: 100.5236.100, Transportation: $6,500.00
