SUBJ: Cancellation of the November 10, 2003 Regular City Council meeting due to AML week, Conduct Special Meeting on November 17 at 7 p.m..

Council has typically canceled the first meeting in November due to the AML Annual Conference Week and the number of elected officials and staff that attend.

Mayor Cushing and Newly Elected Councilmember Novak are registered to attend the AML Annual Conference and associated meetings such as the Alaska Conference of Mayors and Newly Elected Officials Seminar.

Councilmember Beck is unable to attend the November 10th meeting.

A budget worksession is scheduled for Monday, November 17th at 5 p.m. The City Manager requests a special meeting at 7 p.m for one specific item to meet a Bond Bank deadline.

RECOMMENDATION:

Approve cancellation of the November 10th Regular Meeting and the scheduling of a Special Meeting on November 17th at 7p.m.
