SUBJ: APPOINTMENT OF PORT/HARBOR COMMISSIONER MIKE DISLER TO THE PORT SECURITY COMMITTEE AND NAMING PORT/HARBOR COMMISSION CHAIR OTTO KILCHER AND PORT/HARBOR COMMISSIONER PAUL MACKIE AS ALTERNATES.

The Port Security Committee is a requirement of the United States Coast Guard Navigation and Vessel Inspection Circular (NVIC) 902. The Committee will be involved in identifying security risks and potential security exposures at the port/harbor area.

The Port/Harbor Commission took formal action during their regular meeting of February 26th recommending to that Commissioner Disler be named as the appointee and that Chair Kilcher and Commissioner Mackie be alternates.

RECOMMENDATION:

Confirm the appointment of Mike Disler to the Port Security Committee and Otto Kilcher and Paul Mackie as alternates.
