SUBJ: TRAVEL AUTHORIZATION FOR THE MAYOR, CITY COUNCIL AND CITY MANAGER TO ATTEND THE ANNUAL AML LOCAL GOVERNMENT LEGISLATIVE CONFERENCE IN JUNEAU APRIL 23 AND 24, 2003.

The City of Homer Procurement Policy and Procedures Manual, page 50, sets for the procedure for Travel Authorization for Mayor, Council and Staff. Travel authorization is required for trips exceeding $250 total estimated cost. This authorization request is for the Mayor, City Council and City Manager to attend the Annual AML Local Government Legislative Conference in Juneau, April 23 and 24, 2003.

Round Trip Air fare from Homer to Juneau is $350.00 to $400.00. The Room rate is approximately $100 per day and total per diem is $53.00 per day, three meals each.

RECOMMENDATION:

Authorize the Mayor, City Council and City Manager to travel to Juneau for the Annual AML Legislative Conference
