SUBJ: REQUEST FOR EXECUTIVE SESSION PURSUANT TO AS '44.62.310(C)(1), MATTERS, THE IMMEDIATE KNOWLEDGE OF WHICH WOULD CLEARLY HAVE AN ADVERSE EFFECT UPON THE FINANCES OF THE GOVERNMENT UNIT.

During the April 14, 2003 Regular Council meeting Mayor Cushing, City Council and City Manager Wrede mentioned some land allocation and property negotiation issues that may require an executive session during the April 28th regular meeting. Council found that they did not need an executive session during the April 28th meeting.

City Manager Wrede has information meeting the criteria of AS §44.62.310(c)(1) that he needs to apprize the Council through this Executive Session provision.

RECOMMENDATION:

Approve the request for Executive Session and conduct under New Business as Item A.
