SUBJ: REQUEST FOR EXECUTIVE SESSION PURSUANT TO AS '44.62.310(C)(1), MATTERS, THE IMMEDIATE KNOWLEDGE OF WHICH WOULD CLEARLY HAVE AN ADVERSE EFFECT UPON THE FINANCES OF THE GOVERNMENT UNIT.

The City Manager's Report for the Council's Regular Meeting of May 12, 2003 contained information regarding the Ocean Drive Loop Bluff Erosion Control Project. City Manager Wrede advised the Council that staff needed to work on ownership of the wall, maintenance of the wall, insurance eligibility pursuant to Council request and bonding issues.

Mayor Cushing and City Manager Wrede decided that an Executive Session would be the best scenario to apprize Council of matters meeting the criteria of AS §44.62.310(c)(1).

RECOMMENDATION:

Approve the request for Executive Session and conduct under New Business as Item A.
