Re: CIP List Development
It’s
time to begin work on the Capital Improvement Plan for 2004-2009. As you know,
this annual process involves the public, the Council, the Commissions, and
local non-profit organizations and agencies helping to identify capital
projects of particular benefit to the Homer community. Anne Marie Holen will
once again be coordinating the planning process in this office. Our goal is to
have a list of projects approved in time to meet the October 1 application
deadline for a state Capital Project Matching Grant.
Please
find attached a proposed schedule for developing the 2004-2009 CIP and the 2005
Legislative Request. Council approval of this schedule is the first step in the
Capital Improvement Planning process.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve 2004-2009 CIP/2005 Legislative Request Development
Schedule.
