SUBJ: AUTHORIZING ADMINISTRATION TO SEND A LETTER OF ENDORSEMENT AND SUPPORT OF KENAI PENINSULA COOPERATIVE WEED MANAGEMENT AREA AND ASSOCIATED COMMITTEE WORK.

The City Council approved Memorandum 04-37 on March 8, 2004 that approved the Memorandum of Understanding, in support and endorsement of an Alaska Committee for the Management of Noxious and Invasive Plants (CNIPM). The City of Homer's Parks and Recreation Division is intimately involved in the control of noxious and invasive plants in Homer and very involved in Committee work. n support.

RECOMMENDATION:

The Administration is authorized to send a letter of endorsement and support of the Kenai Peninsula Cooperative Weed Management Area and associated committee work.

No fiscal impact.
