Project Inspection
AWARD RECOMMENDATION
Attached
is a
proposal from William J. Nelson and Associates to provide project
inspection
for the City of Homer for water and sewer construction/replacement work
within
the East Road reconstruction project.
The scope of the City’s utility work within the project is quite
intense, requiring daily oversight and interfacing with the Public
Works
Department.
Nelson’s
office
has provided much of the utility design work for this project and it
makes
sense to utilize their firm to provide the quality control based on
their involvement
to date.
The
total
estimated cost proposal for services is $64,540. The
majority of the fee will be paid by ADOT. The
portion of Nelson’s work that applies to
the three LIDs will be paid for as part of the specific LID.
Award
the
referenced Inspection Contract to William J. Nelson and Associates in
the
amount of $64,540.
