SUBJ: NOMINATING FOR REAPPOINTMENT RICK FOSTER AS HOMER'S REPRESENTATIVE ON THE KENAI PENINSULA BOROUGH PLANNING COMMISSION, APPOINTMENT OF NYSSA BAECHLER AS THE PARKS AND RECREATION ADVISORY COMMISSION STUDENT REPRESENTATIVE, AND THE APPOINTMENT OF FRED PFEIL TO THE ROAD STANDARDS COMMITTEE.

Rick Foster has served the City of Homer on the Borough Planning Commission since July 2003 and his term expires July 31, 2004. The Borough Mayor still has to do his appointment process for this appointment to be complete. The new term will either be a two year term or a three year term, we are waiting for confirmation from the Borough.

Nyssa Baechler will serve on the Parks and Recreation Commission as the student representative.

The Homer Advisory Planning Commission requested/suggested that Fred Pfeil be appointed to the Road Standards Committee.

RECOMMENDATION:

Confirm the nomination for reappointment of Rick Foster as Homer's representative on the Kenai Peninsula Borough Planning Commission, appointment of Nyssa Baechler as the Parks and Recreation Advisory Commission student representative, and the Appointment of Fred Pfeil to the Road Standards Committee.
