SUBJ: REAPPOINTMENT OF RICK FOSTER AND BRUCE HESS TO THE PLANNING COMMISSION.

Commissioner Foster submitted a written request for reappointment to the Planning Commission. His new term will expire Julie 1, 2008. Commissioner Foster holds the non City resident seat.

A discrepancy in Planning Commission terms was found that seems to have been extended through prior vacancies of the seat Commissioner Hess holds. Pursuant to HCC 1.76.040, Terms of Commission members, three terms should expire, then two terms and two terms. Currently it is three, three and two. Commissioner Hess has graciously agreed to be reappointed at this time to facilitate the proper staggering of terms. His new term will expire July 1, 2008.

RECOMMENDATION:

Confirm the Reappointments of Rick Foster and Bruce Hess to the Planning Commission for full three year terms.
