Construction Contract Award

Public Works opened bids for the above referenced project on July 14, 2005. One bid was received. Below are the results. The apparent low bidder is Sunland Development, Homer, Alaska.

Engineer’s Estimate $70,284 $6,100

Public Works has reviewed the bids. The low bidder’s qualifications have been reviewed and they have been determined to be qualified to complete this project. The deductive alternate is a required portion of the work. Public Works reserved the right to complete demolition if low bid was not within project budget.

The bid received is within the project budget.

Recommendation: The City award the project Sunland Development, Homer, Alaska for the base bid amount plus the deductive alternate ($79,519).
