SUBJ: APPOINTMENT OF MICHAEL YOURKOWSKI TO THE PUBLIC ARTS COMMITTEE.

The City Clerk has advertised, at the Mayor's request, the vacancy for the Public Arts Committee for months.

Homer resident Michael Yourkowski submitted a Commissioner Data Sheet on October 3, 2005 expressing his interest in serving on this Committee.

The Committee has some important issues coming up and needs to have a full Committee. Recently assigned via Resolution 05-95(A), Regarding Town Center Development, was for the Public Arts Committee to develop incentives to encourage community art.

RECOMMENDATION:

Confirm the Appointment of Michael Yourkowski to the Public Arts Committee for two years. Term to Expire April 1, 2007.
