SUBJECT: An Ordinance of the City Council of Homer, Alaska Amending Homer City Code 21.42.010 Concerning Zoning Permit Requirements.

The proposed Ordinance amends HCC 21.42.010 clarifying when a zoning permit is required. The Homer Advisory Planning Commission has been discussing the proposed amendment to HCC 21.42 for several months now. Several worksessions were held, and the draft ordinance was reviewed and amended based on advice from City Attorney Tans.

The Commission held a public hearing on March 2, 2005. No testimony was received. The proposed code amendment has been provided to City Attorney Tans, but at the time of this staff report no comments had been received.

Recommendation

The Homer Advisory Planning Commission recommends the Homer City Council adopt the ordinance.
