SUBJ: TRAVEL AUTHORIZATION FOR THE MAYOR AND/OR CITY COUNCIL TO ATTEND THE AML 2005 ALASKA'S COMMUNITIES SPRING LEGISLATIVE FLY-IN APRIL 19 - 21, 2005.

The City of Homer Procurement Policy and Procedures Manual, page 50, sets for the procedure for Travel Authorization for Mayor, Council and Staff. Travel authorization is required for trips exceeding $250 total estimated cost.

This authorization request is for the Mayor and/or Councilmembers to attend the AML 2005 Alaska's Community Spring Legislative Fly-In April 19 - 21, 2005 in Juneau, Alaska.

Round Trip Air fare is approximately $342. POV is $0.375/mile. Room rates at the Westmark Barnoff, adjacent to Centennial Hall - the meeting location, are $109.00 per night Goldbelt are $99.00 per night to $109.00 per night or mountain view. Total per diem is $53.00 per day, for three meals each.

RECOMMENDATION:

Approve the requested authorization.
