SUBJECT: Ordinance to amend landscaping requirements

The City Council requested the Planning Commission consider this item. The request was received by staff on March 21 and presented to the Commission at their next regular meeting on April 6. The Commission discussed this item and the attached ordinance was drafted, amending the landscaping requirement for development on contiguous lots.

The Commission has not yet scheduled the required public hearing. The item is on the agenda for the next regular meeting of the Planning Commission on April 21. Staff anticipates a public hearing to be scheduled for the first meeting in May.

Recommendation

Staff respectfully recommends the City Council take no action on this item until after the Planning Commission has held a public hearing and forwarded their recommendations.
