Construction Contract Award

Public Works opened bids for the above referenced project on April 21. Seven bids were received. Below are the results. The apparent low bidder is Jay-Brant General Contractors, Homer, Alaska.

Public Works has reviewed the bids and evaluated the responsiveness of each bidder. All bids are considered responsive, except the bid from TBI Construction, Anchorage, Alaska. The bid from TBI Construction did not include a complete bid schedule and is therefore determined to be non-responsive. The low bidder’s qualifications have been reviewed and they have been determined to be qualified to complete this project.

Recommendation: The City award the project to Jay-Brant General Contractors, Homer, Alaska for the base bid amount minus the deductive item ($6,109,390.50).
