SUBJ: APPOINTMENT OF COMMUNITY AND ECONOMIC IMPACT STANDARDS TASK FORCE,
COUNCILMEMBERS STARK AND NOVAK, PLANNING COMMISSIONERS BRUCE HESS AND RAY
KRANICH, CITY MANAGER WREDE, CITY PLANNER MCKIBBEN, FINANCE DIRECTOR BAUGH
AND AS AN EX OFFICIO MEMBER BILL SMITH.
Council approved Memorandum 05-74(A), attached, at the April 25, 2005 Regular City Council Meeting.
Task:
1. Discuss the standards and criteria of the Community and Economic Impact Standards in Homer City Code 21.61.105.
2. Discuss the impact analysis requirement for large retail and wholesale business.
3. Define and agree on the interpretation and implementation of Homer City Code Section 21.61.105.
Appointments from Council will be: Doug Stark and Dennis Novak.
from Planning Commission will be: Bruce Hess and Ray E. Kranich
from Staff: Walt E. Wrede, Beth McKibben and Dean Baugh
Ex Officio and non voting and non quorum counting: Bill Smith
Chair of this Committee shall be Councilmember Stark and Vice Chair shall Be Councilmember Novak.
This Task Force shall report to the Council during the Committee of the Whole at which time it shall sunset.
Reporting deadline is August 9, 2005.
It is the Chair's responsibility to schedule any and all meetings with the City Clerk.
RECOMMENDATION:
Confirm the appointments as listed and noted within the body of this Memorandum and confirm the reporting
deadline of August 9, 2005.
Fiscal Note: Cost of advertising and recording to be paid by the City Clerk's budget.
