M E M O R A N D U M 06-03
TO: HOMER CITY COUNCIL
FROM: JAMES C. HORNADAY, MAYOR
DATE: DECEMBER 28, 2005
SUBJ: APPOINTMENTS OF MELISSA LETTIS AS THE LIBRARY ADVISORY BOARD'S
NON VOTING STUDENT MEMBER AND MARK ROTH TO REPLACE LEONARD MILLER
ON THE COOK INLET AQUACULTURE ASSOCIATION (CIAA) BOARD AS HOMER'S REPRESENTATIVE.
Homer High School Student, Melissa Lettis, submitted a Commissioner Data Sheet and a letter of
recommendation for Homer High Counselor, Lin Hampson. This position was advertised in a local
paper and on the radio.
Leonard Miller notified me on December 5, 2005 that he would be resigning and highly
recommended Mark Roth to fill the City seat. Mark Roth has supplied information about himself
and I believe that he will do an admirable job representing the City of Homer. The term is open
ended and the representative serves at our pleasure.
RECOMMENDATION:
Confirm the Appointments of Melissa Lettis to the Library Advisory Board as their non voting
student member and Mark Roth as the City's representative on the CIAA Board.
