This project will be funded from the account # 156-396. The budget for this work was established in the 2006 budget at $40,000. The City has expended approximately $8000 to date on an environmental survey of the buildings and bid preparation and advertising costs. Based on the low bid received and providing for a small contingency, the project is now anticipated to be $47,500.
Recommendation: The City Council should authorize the City Manager to issue a Letter of Intent to Award to Moore & Moore Services, Homer, Alaska. Upon meeting the conditions of the Bid Documents, the City Manager should be authorized to award the contract to Moore & Moore Services in the amount of $38,222.70; issue a Notice to Proceed, and execute all required documents needed to complete this project (in accordance with this and previous authorizations by the City Council).
