SUBJ: REAPPOINTMENT OF MIMI TOLVA AND APPOINTMENT OF GAIL ANN WEAVER TO THE PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION.

Commissioner Carole Hamik has resigned from the Commission, her term expires October 31, 2006.

Mimi Tolva has requested reappointment for another three year term.

The two Commission seats have been advertised for several months, with a deadline of September 29, 2006.

Gail Ann Weaver "Annie" and Allegra Bukojemsky have applied for the seat and both are City residents.

I am reappointing Mimi Tolva to the Commission for another three year term to expire October 31, 2009, at which time she may request reappointment for another three year term.

I am appointing Gail Ann Weaver "Annie"to the Commission for a three year term. Her term will expire October 31, 2009, at which time she may request reappointment for another three year term.

RECOMMENDATION:

Confirm the reappointment of Mimi Tolva and the Appointment of Gail Ann Weaver "Annie" to the Parks and Recreation Commission, each term to expire October 31, 2009.
