SUBJ: APPOINTMENT OF COUNCILMEMBER MATT SHADLE AS THE CITY'S REPRESENTATIVE ON THE NATIONAL LEAGUE OF CITIES.

Council approved the City's participation in the National League of Cities (NLC) on January 9, 2006 via Memorandum 06-07(A).

The City has applied, been accepted and paid the membership fee for 2006.

Councilmember Shadle was the sponsoring Councilmember of Memorandum 06-07(A) and has filed a Data Sheet requesting to be appointed as the City's representative to the NLC.

RECOMMENDATION:

Confirm the Appointment of Councilmember Matt Shadle as the City of Homer's Representative on the NLC.
