Re: Vehicle Purchase

I recommend the purchase of the Fire Chief’s/Command Vehicle from Nye Frontier Ford of Wasilla as part of the large fleet purchase by Public Works. The vehicle specified is a 2006 Ford Expedition, Special Service 4WD (the Special Service Package is specifically designed for public safety purposes). The amount of the bid is $27,218. The account code for this purchase is 100.150.5901 (Capital Equipment). The fund balance for this purchase was approved at $40,000. The remainder of the fund balance will be spent toward equipping the vehicle for emergency response purposes (radio, lights, siren).
